Fund Raising Coordinator and Committee for our Parrot Rescue!

Cause Areas

It's flexible! We'll work with your schedule.

This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
Sonny, a Goffins Cockatoo who came to NEAR a nearly-featherless, nervous wreck. He's now happily in his permanent home with a loving family, thanks to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming efforts of NEAR!

As we continue to grow and roll out new and exciting programs for the communities we serve, the Northeast Avian Rescue (NEAR) is in need of a Fundraising Coordinator and several individuals to make up a fundraising committee.

This Coordinator, while a volunteer, would serve on the NEAR Board of Directors and report to the organization's Outreach Director. Responsibilities will include developing and implementing innovative and creative ideas for raising funds, not only for our new Rescue Facility Project, but for other important programs as well. Additionally, the Fundraising Coordinator will manage and coordinate the tasks of a fundraising committee, conducting outreach to local businesses, venues and the general public.

We expect this role to be a busy one in the short term as we work toward the purchase and implementation of an independent adoption facility. After that, it's anybody's guess how much of a commitment the role will be, but we expect this role to be a permanent part of our organization.

If you are a parrot-loving go-getter, you could really help NEAR and help the birds we rescue, rehabilitate and re-home. Please consider responding to this opportunity.

Also, if you know individuals who might be a good fit for our fundraising committee, please have them look into this opportunity as well!
