Videography Volunteer

The Geek Group is looking for more people to help with our educational video production team. We are seeking a videography volunteer. This may be done in conjunction with our other volunteer positions, or it may be your sole contribution.

We are looking for somebody who:

• Can apply the most basic functions of pro- or pro-sumer cameras (focus, zoom, iris, white balance, etc)
• Can hold 5-15 pounds steadily over the course of a few hours
• Able to stand upright over the course of a few hours
• Can take shots using a camera based on the basic rules of composition
• Basic knowledge of setting up studio lights and other grip work is a plus, but not required
• Has a flexible schedule and is willing to work with us on a shared calendar to see when video shoots are scheduled
• Can communicate which video shoots they are able to participate in, in advance, for proper planning

Our video shoots have an intermittent schedule, and usually happen between 12pm-8pm Monday-Saturday.

This position is available for internship credit if you need it. The experience required is not dependent on a professional or educational background.
