Opportunity on Deck will expand into Ankeny for the first time in the organization's history, hosting a free basketball league for underprivileged children each Saturday from October 7th - 28th at Southview Middle School. The league will be open to both boys and girls in kindergarten through sixth grade and we need volunteer coaches who are willing to attend practice, lead drills, play games and coach our scrimmages. This volunteer opportunity is always a lot of fun and easy for anyone with some basketball or other sports experience to do.
The full schedule is planned for the following dates and times: October 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. No worries if you can only make one or a few of the practices, simply claim your spot and invite friends to sign up with you. We look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming practices!
