ACAP - Animal Care Assistance Program - is looking for some enthusiastic, online fundraising savvy volunteers to help us with our fund raising needs. Do you have mad skills for selling items or setting up online auctions? How about managing a YouCaring or GoFundMe campaign? Is it your "thing" to head a car wash, bake sale, paint night, or do you have your own unique ideas?
If you're in the central VA area, Charlottesville/Louisa/Richmond corridor, ACAP is always looking for great, happy faces to man our information tables at fun events so that we can get the word out about our much needed services.
If you have an interest in helping head fundraising for us, please respond to this ad! www.acapva.org

About Animal Care Assistance Program
Location:
PO Box 803, Louisa, VA 23093, US
Mission Statement
To provide financial assistance to improve the health and comfort of companion animals and keep them with the people who love them; or to provide a sanctuary for those that cannot remain in their homes.
Description
Founded in 2015 by Susan Levi, ACAP helps low income pet owners with veterinary costs to prevent unnecessary suffering of animals and/or owners surrendering their pets to shelters due to problems that may be resolved with intervention and financial assistance. Our goal is to help keep people and pets together and when that is not possible, to either help homeless pets find new homes or provide them sanctuary if deemed not adoptable due to medical or behavioral reasons.
We help cats and dogs with preventative and interventional veterinary treatment by working closely with low cost veterinary clinics. When possible, ACAP will help with emergency and end of life care to ease their suffering. We work with municipal shelters, animal control officers, private veterinarians and other non-profit organizations in our region.
