A trip to the salon is relaxing, uplifting, and empowering. Most hospice patients are unable to continue to go out for these cherished experiences.
At Amedisys Hospice, we give patients facing a life-limiting illness the gift of care providing comfort, dignity, quality of life, and time. Our team of caregivers includes volunteers who work in close coordination with other hospice experts. Licensed beauticians, hairdressers, cosmetologists, barbers, and manicurists can all give something back by volunteering their time and skills. A haircut, shampoo, shave, or manicure can do so much to boost the spirit of someone who has difficulty leaving their home.
Hospice volunteer training provided.
Volunteers wanted for the following areas:
- Largo, MD
- Elkton, MD
- Rosedale, MD
