Southercare Hospice

Becoming a hospice volunteer is the perfect opportunity to gain some real experience in working face to face with patients and learning about work in the healthcare field. Volunteering always looks good on your resume and can help further develop your skills which are essential for the social work field. As a volunteer, you visit with patients for brief periods of time to provide companionship and simple tasks such as making them a cup of coffee, reading a book, or other activities that help to enrich our patients’ lives. It is a very rewarding experience that allows you to give a little of your time to make a difference in our patients’ lives.

Our volunteers mean so much to us and our patients and their families truly appreciate all the work that they do. If this sounds like something you are interested in, please contact me and we can set up an interview for you. Thanks!
