Digital fabrication activity at World Maker Faire
ORGANIZATION: adfab:ED-Alliance for Digital Fabrication Education
Please visit the new page to apply.
The non-profit Alliance for Digital Fabrication Education will be participating in the World Maker Faire and debut the MobilemakerEd Cart in their booth space.
Position 1: We need volunteers to assist with running the 5 pieces of digital fabrication equipment. This would be using simple software to execute files and monitor the output, change material etc. The purpose is not to create products, but to just have the machines going at all times, and have a few examples of finished items.
Position 2: Concurrently, we will have a small activity utilizing laser cut parts to build with. Simple linking shapes or some folding and gluing. This is not a challenging project, just an activity to fill out the booth, and show the Cart in a context with students
We can provide a healthy stipend to make it worth something, beyond being part of the greatest show on earth. Visit www.adfabed.org and see the MobilemakerEd Cart
