Each subteam has a different set of practical goals that become the metric.
The chairman’s team goal is to produce an essay, a video, and a presentation that tells something about the team. This is judged a competitions.
The marketing subteams measured by designing t-shirts, logos, buttons, and banners. They are judged by their team mates and others as they work to produce effective marketing material.
The robot subteams, CAD, product integrat electrical, pneumatics, and programming are all measured by the creation of a functioning product that is tested in the heat of competition.

Wave Robotics is a family of students, mentors and supporters who wish to inspire by providing a safe, fun, and enriching environment. Members of Wave Robotics work together as a team to reach beyond the norm by providing opportunities not found in the the classroom through community outreach and engaging educational STEM projects.

Program Goals, Objectives, & Impact
- Wave Robotics emphasizes STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and puts that into action by expanding educational opportunities by enlisting talented future high school students and adult mentors who work in the field
- Wave Robotics is a family of students, mentors and supporters who inspire and educate to learn thru innovation and team building to have fun and prepare for the future for the betterment of our team, FIRST and our communities
- Funds provided by Best Buy would help support the ongoing costs of the program, including but not limited to: purchase computers, parts to build a robot, travel expenses, competition fees, marketing costs
- We encourage creativity, ingenuity, innovation, team building. We strive to increase student self-esteem, confidence, and sense of accomplishment for everyone involved. We all work to maintain our success into the future.Wave Robotics emphasizes STEM (science, technology, engineering and math)
