Keep Alachua County Beautiful is committed to addressing the problem of litter as a health and safety concern as well as an aesthetic blight. Through our Litter Prevention and Abatement program, we aim to demonstrate the deleterious effect of litter on the community and act to cultivate a more healthy and clean urban environment. Our Cigarette Litter Prevention Program began in June of 2010, and has been a huge success, reducing waste by a third in some areas.
We are seeking volunteers to continue this ongoing project. All experience levels are welcome to join our team of community members working to reduce and remove litter in Alachua County. Please visit kacb.org for more information and register at kacb.org/event-registration to get started!
