Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury is seeking administrative help for a variety of needs. We may need help with typing, mailing out appeal letters or thank you letters, filing, and data entry. If you have organizational skills and or any computer skills and would like to spend a few hours a week with a group of dedicated professionals that have a mission to teach adults to read, write, and understand English this would be a great opportunity for you to serve your community.

Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury, through the valuable use of trained volunteers and community partners, strives to improve all lives through literacy by cultivating educational opportunities for adults.
Description
Through the effective use of trained volunteer tutors, LVGW provides educational services to willing adults in the greater Waterbury community free of charge. Our tutors provide one-on-one or small group instruction at mutually convenient times in public places. Basic Literacy, English as a Second Language, and U.S Citizenship test preparation services are offered.
