The St. Louis VisionWalk is on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Creve Coeur Park - Tremayne Shelter. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. and the walk begins at 10:30 a.m. We welcome volunteers to help with set up and teardown, staffing the various booths (refreshments, t-shirts, KidsZone, etc.), working the registration table, and cheering on & directing the walkers as route coordinators. We need volunteers from about 6:30 a.m. through about 12:30 p.m., in shifts or for the entire time. Mission Statement
The urgent mission of The Foundation Fighting Blindness, Inc. (FFB) is to drive the research that will provide preventions, treatments and cures for people affected by retinitis pigmentosa (RP), macular degeneration, Usher Syndrome, and the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases.
Description
Each year, our VisionWalks raise awareness and funds for blinding eye diseases. We are asking for your support to raise lots of great research dollars for retinal degenerative diseases and help our Walk Day run well. Throughout the Midwest, the Foundation Fighting Blindness hosts VisionWalks in every state - walkathon-style fundraisers to support the mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness. The events feature entertainment and family friendly activities.
