This is an adult volunteer opportunity in which you'll man our front desk in our small nature gift shop. You'll process sales, donations, and membership forms. You will also greet visitors, hand out information, answer phones, & register people for our programs. Training will be provided.
We also sell 20lb to 50lb bags of birdseed from our shed out front, so volunteers will need to be able to assist customers in loading their purchased seed into their cars if the customer is unable to do so.
You may also be asked to assist educational staff with other small jobs while at the front desk.
Tuesday thru Saturday shifts are from 10am to 1pm, and 1pm to 4pm.
Sunday shifts are from 12pm to 4pm.
We are closed Mondays.
Volunteer applicants are required to provide 3 short reference letters sent to info@rancocasnaturecenter.org

The Rancocas Nature Center promotes stewardship and provides environmental education for the Rancocas State Park and surrounding communities through the operation of the Rancocas Nature Center.
Description
We are a non-profit organization situated on 210 acres of the Rancocas State Park with 3 miles of hiking trails through meadows, forest, and wetlands. The Center opened its doors in 1977 and has provided the area with a year-round variety of environmental education programs for all ages, both on-site and off-site, for schools, scouts, libraries, senior citizens, and the general public.
