The volunteer is responsible for answering phone calls, providing support and referrals to individuals that are dealing with domestic violence. Depending on the severity and needs of the caller, the volunteer will need to fill out an intake application or refer individuals to outside resources. Referrals and resources will be provided to the volunteer.

Please, note that an orientation will be provided prior to the volunteer taking any calls.

*Requires a 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training mandated by California Evidence Code 1037.1

Haven Hills provides safety and support to victims of domestic violence while working to break the cycle of abuse. We offer shelter, crisis intervention, counseling and advocacy to victims primarily in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. We endeavor to increase community awareness about domestic violence issues and bring about societal change through education and public policy advocacy.
