Help end the cycle of poverty in DC by joining the adult education teaching team at the YWCA!

We are looking for competent, passionate, patient, and reliable volunteers to assist our staff instructors in the daytime math classes for the Fall term, which runs from September 18 through December 20. The classes are an hour each and take place Mondays-Thursdays between the hours of 9:30AM and 12:30PM. Volunteers can sign up to assist one class or two each day; and one day a week up to all four!

The class assistant(s) may be asked to:
* Assist individual students
* Facilitate small groups
* Assist in planning and grading activities and assignments

Potential volunteers must be excellent oral communicators and proficient both in computing and explaining math concepts to learners.

Prior teaching experience is a plus but not a requirement.
