Pashto speaking volunteers are needed to help the Communities In Schools ASPIRE Family Literacy Program. Pashto speakers will help Afghan students learn in their native language. Volunteer 1 hour to 2 hours each week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and/or 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.

Description

Communities In Schools of Central Texas has programming in 100 elementary, middle, and high school campuses across Central Texas, providing support services to students and families. Volunteer opportunities range from one-time events to weekly commitments and can include working directly with students or supporting CIS behind the scenes. Campus-based volunteers are matched to meet weekly with a student during the school year, beginning in the fall and continuing until the end of the school year.
