Dancing Through the Curriculum (DTC) is a nonprofit dedicated to educating and empowering young girls of color through exposure to the performing art of dance. We meet our mission through afterschool programming, dance camps, and our community dance division. Currently, we are looking for dancers interested in developing their teaching and choreography abilities to assist with our community dance classes in either Murfreesboro (Patterson Park Community Center) or Nashville (Hadley Park Community Center) once a week for a two hour dance class. In addition, we are looking for individuals interested in leading our Girl Talk sessions and assisting our youth with homework in our Raising the Barre afterschool program at Park Avenue Elementary. We believe this will be a rewarding experience as volunteers/interns develop a relationships with our youth and gain more experience as a dancer, dance teacher, and/or dance educator.
