Set up and break down part of the volunteer opportunity.
We need 2 volunteers from 10-1 and 2 from 1-5 to greet people, and keep dogs occupied.

Event details:
Do you love dogs? Are you passionate about our community? After a three-year hiatus from the incredibly successful Shelburne Museum Goes to the Dogs event, Pet Food Warehouse and crew are back and hope to be better than ever. This year, instead of planning their forth annual in-house 'Wag It Forward’ giving event, they are creating a festival you won’t want to miss. On Sunday, October 8th, join all of us, the community and their pets at 'Wag It Forward: A Festival for Pets" held at the Champlain Valley Exposition.
Rain or shine, plan on tons of fun and entertainment for the whole family, including your furry friends. Dock Dogs will be on-site providing the opportunity for your dog to show off some water skills and The Grift will be keeping us moving with their booty-shaking grooves. Grab an adult beverage at the beer garden, show off that mutt and enjoy a fall day with friends, all while benefiting local animal welfare and rescue organizations. We'll be there! Stop by and say hello!

Mission Statement
Good Karma Rescue is a small group of volunteers that love animals. Our mission is to rescue, provide refuge, and ultimately to find permanent loving homes for abandoned, stray and neglected animals where they will receive a lifetime commitment of loving care, including appropriate gentle training, exercise, and regular veterinary care. Whenever possible we also assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes with their guardians. We are located in Central Vermont, and work with local and national organizations to help prevent needless euthanasia, and companion animal overpopulation
Description
Good Karma rescue has several different volunteer opportunites available.
We are currently looking for volunteers to socialize and walk the dogs.
We are also looking for foster parents that are willing to open their homes to our dogs that need a little extra help in getting ready for their forever home. A foster parent must provide a nurturing atmosphere that includes shelter, exercise, but most importantly love; it takes a special person who can provide all of this for a rescued dog and then give them up when a permanent home is found. Foster parents can also contribute immensely in placing rescued dogs in appropriately matched homes by observing their fostered dog's personality traits. This information is essential in placing dogs in the right home.
Good Karma alos has several adoption, information tables, and fundraising events throughout the year. We are in need of folks that are willing to give a few hours here and there to help spread the word about Good Karma dogs, and to spend time with the furry friends attending the events.
