Who needs to go to the gym when you can help Friends of Waluga Park work on trail improvements? Rumor has it there are wheelbarrows and a pile of gravel at this work party. We may do some invasive species removal, too. Blue heron, eagles, raccoons and deer frequent these woods.
For every volunteer opportunity, we recommend that volunteers wear long pants, sturdy shoes and weather appropriate clothing. Feel free to bring heavy-duty work gloves, pruners and loppers. Before arriving, please fill out the Stewardship Volunteer Waiver on the LO Stewardship website: www.lo-stewardship.org. Please bring reusable water bottles; this simple step will assist us in our efforts to reduce waste.
