Come be a part of the art at the Buchanan Art Center. We are looking for volunteers interested in art and willing to interact with the public regarding current exhibits and events. Reception/ docent volunteers will be given background information on each current exhibit in order for them to convey information and interest to the public. Volunteers will be responsible for registering and accepting payments from visitors for classes or purchases from the gift shop or galleries. Volunteers will be reporting to the Executive Director. Reception/docent shifts are 3 1/2 hours long. Water is provided. Schedules are extremely flexible regarding frequency and day or time of shifts.

The mission of the Buchanan Art Center is to provide a place in our community dedicated to nurturing the arts by providing a quality educational program for all ages, as well as gallery exhibits, sales opportunities and a gift shop that are supportive of class offerings and local artists, thereby enabling the center to creatively enlist the power of the arts in promoting positive social change.
Description
The Buchanan Art Center is a non profit organization dedicated to promoting an nurturing the arts in Buchanan and Berrien County. Our objective is to bring the community together and offer a variety of cultural events as well as an arts education program. The BAC features local artists with frequently changing exhibitions with public receptions.
