Looking to serve community service hours for a court or school-mandated program? Community Threads resale store is currently accepting those who are seeking to complete hours required by courts and schools! We are able to provide a letter verifying all hours served to each volunteer. Please send an email to cthreadsvolunteers@gmail.com to further discuss completing your service. Serve anytime during our store hours M-F 10-9pm and Saturdays 10-7pm. Pick your own hours and begin your service within a day!
Numerous tasks and jobs available such as sorting donations, merchandising items on the sales floor, customer service, item research, cleaning and more! Sit-down jobs available upon request.

Home of the Sparrow provides Hope, Opportunity and Support to empower women and children as they journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
Description
Volunteers are the backbone of Home of the Sparrow. Each time you volunteer, you become part of a woman’s story as she journeys to self-sufficiency!
Home of the Sparrow provides Transitional Shelter, as well as Affordable Housing and Rapid Re-Housing for women and children. Our Supportive Services address the core issues of homelessness.
We invite you to volunteer and shop at our Sparrow's Nest and Community Tread Thrift Stores. Stores are located in Woodstock, McHenry, Cary, Palatine, Mundelein, Third Lake, and Arlington Heights.
