Volunteers are the backbone of Habitat for Humanity. Your dedication and support enables us to continue to help low income families living in the greater Garland area to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter!
Our safety policies for COVID-19 include personally assigned and sanitized tools and hard hats, masks at all times, and ample social distancing.
Since 1993, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Garland has served over 80 families by building over 40 new construction homes and fully renovating over 50 homes.
Volunteers are needed to work alongside our Habitat "Partner Families" in building decent, affordable homes in Garland, Texas. Groups and individuals are needed.
Construction days are Wednesdays and Saturdays. (We do not build on weekends near a major holiday.) Please submit your volunteer application from our website at www.garlandhabitat.org (click on Getting Involved).
Due to Child Labor Laws and Habitat International policies:
Youth under the age of 16 are not permitted on an active Habitat construction site
Youth ages 16 and 17 must have both written consent from a parent or legal guardian as well as adult (21+) supervision while volunteering
