Harmonycares Hospice is looking for individuals that have the desire to sit with hospice patients and befriend them during their journey. Singing, listening to music together, reading, watching TV, and something as simple as just sitting at the bedside as a caring friend can bring joy to their days.
Many hospice patients live alone and have no one to share their stories with. Some patients live with loved ones but truly need the stimulation of a volunteer to talk about various subjects and share stories of their past.
If you have a desire to brighten the days of one of these folks please contact me and I will share information on how you can give your time.

Mission Statement
HarmonyCares Hospice serves terminally ill and bereaved persons in our community with integrity, compassion and respect. At HarmonyCares Hospice, we provide family-centered, quality end-of-life care offering a full range of health care services such as medical and nursing care, spiritual and emotional support, social work, personal care, special therapies, volunteer and bereavement services. Grace Hospice is committed to relieving physical, emotional and spiritual pain so that life can be experienced as fully and hopefully as possible.
Description
Hospice volunteers find it personally gratifying, intellectually stimulating, and emotionally meaningful to assist those in need at a critical point in their lives. Many of our volunteers are introduced to hospice thorough the death of a family member and understand firsthand the value of hospice care, but nearly 20% of volunteers are new to hospice. Volunteers consistently report that helping the terminally ill through hospice is not about dying but about living.
