We are starting a Youth Farmstand afterschool program at a local elementary in Denver. It is located in the Villa Park neighborhood, which is one of Denver's food deserts. This community also struggles with diet-related illness childhood obesity. With this initiative we hope to introduce over a ton of local produce into this neighborhood and empower youth to do so. To encourage families who need it most to buy, we will be offering DoubleBucks to those receiving SNAP benefits. We need your help to set-up, breakdown, and assist our youth in running the farmstand. To continue our efforts we also need documentation for grants. Experience with video editing and grantwriting would be useful for this. Paid positions may be available after a short volunteer period
