Join City of Raleigh Parks staff as we plant annuals at Chavis Park. The first two weeks of October is our prime annual planting time. This means we can use all the extra help we can get!
We will provide tools, gloves, snacks, water, sunscreen, bug spray, and a first aid kit. Volunteers need to wear loose comfortable clothing that can get dirty, and closed-toe shoes.
Volunteers must be at least 12 years of age to participate. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult who must also register as a volunteer. All volunteers will need to fill out a volunteer release form. If any volunteer is under the age of 18, then a parent or guardian will need to sign as well.
Per department policy this event cannot be used towards court-appointed / suggested community service hours.
