ORGANIZATION: MINT ARTISTS GUILD

  • 3 people are interested

Mint needs a very organized person to help with administrative details of a growing nonprofit. Our ideal person likes to handle minutae and organize people, paintings, venues and more with a sense of humor. We seek someone who to handle paperwork, research and locate people and information and an ability to anticipate and assist our executive director and volunteer team.

Among the tasks you could take on are - arranging creative spaces for our business of art workshops, sending packages to galleries that may want to carry our Mint cards, helping plan programs, writing thank you notes, deliver some of our Paint Detroit with Generosity paintings to local nonprofits and more.

If you know or could learn some of these programs, you look like a Matisse to us:
-Excel
-MailChimp
-Google Docs
-WordPress

We know you may not know all of these - who could? So don't let this list stop you from contacting Vickie.

And while most of the tasks could be done virtually, we think it works best to get together, face to face, at least every couple of weeks. Could be at a coffee shop or in Palmer Park or someplace else.

About MINT ARTISTS GUILD

Location:

PO Box 21667, Detroit, MI 48221, US

Mission Statement

Mint Artists Guild helps to transform aspiring Detroit youth artists through education, exceptional engagement and experience, resulting in earning opportunities, skill-building, exposure, and mentoring. Mint launches creative careers and lasting connections. Mint also infuses the community with art and creative experiences, enhancing a collaborative, healthy and generous culture.

Description

Mint works with artists ages 13 to 23 on entrepreneurial, career and life skills, and gives them opportunities to sell their creative work. A summer jobs program, business workshops and online educational and informational resources are offered to young visual artists. In 2020, we launched the Metro Detroit Youth Arts Competition, a creative activity kit giveaway (of 5,500 kits) and in 2021, we launched leadership development training. This year, we are working on an alumni engagement program, adding creative jobs to our website and so much more. We need your help and support to continue our growth!
