Young Survival Coalition, a national nonprofit organization for young women affected by breast cancer is the beneficiary of the Turkey Trot 5K taking place on Roosevelt Island in New York. YSC needs to provide 50 volunteers for the event. Volunteer positions include:
Registration Assistant
Food Tent
Course Marshals
Water Station

Young Survival Coalition (YSC) is the premier organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women who are diagnosed (age 40 and under) with breast cancer. YSC offers resources, connections and outreach so women feel supported, empowered and hopeful.

Description

YSC works to ensure that no young women faces breast cancer alone. YSC is a powerful community fighting breast cancer in young women working to:

  • raise awareness that young women can and do get breast cancer
  • decrease sense of isolation felt by young women affected by breast cancer
  • build a diverse network of survivors, supporters & medical community members
  • ensure young women have the tools needed to navigate their breast cancer experience
