HopeMatch serves the working poor or those going through temporary challenges in the Greater Charlotte, NC area. We are gearing up for our holiday program and need some extra support. In addition to personalized Christmas gifts that each family receives, we also provide a personalized card of encouragement speaking life into the family's situation. We have a group of "Scribe" volunteers who pray and ask God for encouragement for the families we are serving and write the letters. We are looking for someone to assign families to the Scribes and follow up with them to make sure they are completed and dropped off to our office on time.

This is a virtual position and you do not need to live in the Charlotte area. We would like for you to be a Christian, as this is the angle we come from in writing the cards. If you would like to write cards yourself, that would be great too, but is not required. Most of the volunteer work would be done through email or phone contact with the volunteers, and then you would communicate with the Director on a regular basis regarding how the Scribes are doing. Please visit www.HopeMatch.org for more information on our program.

Mission Statement

Mission: Providing HOPE by matching local needs with compassionate givers! Vision: Bringing lasting HOPE to the unseen and underserved in our community.

Description

HopeMatch is a local charity serving those who are unseen and underserved in the Greater Charlotte, North Carolina area. We started as a Christmas program, but have grown into much more. While our Christmas program of matching local families in need with people who want to provide personalized Christmas gifts and encouragement to their neighbor is still the heart of what we do, we have expanded our services to address the growing needs of the families we serve. Throughout the year, you will find multiple ways to give financially and volunteer, all while making a lasting difference in your community.
