Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County is ready to grow and needs your help! We are currently looking for volunteers to help with school outreach. This would include reaching out to private schools to create partnerships for clothing drives and reaching out to public schools to make sure they are aware of CTKF and the service that we are providing to the Fairfield County, CT Community. Volunteers in this role would have a flexible schedule and outreach could be done based on the volunteer's schedule with regular communication and regular update meetings with the executive director of CTKF.

Mission Statement

To provide new and quality used clothing to low-income or in-crisis, school-age children in Fairfield County, Connecticut--free of charge. Clothes To Kids envisions a community in which every school age child has quality clothing so that he or she may attend school with the confidence and self-esteem needed to achieve academic success.

Description

Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County is a non-profit serving the Fairfield County, CT area. We believe well-fitting clothing, in which a child feels comfortable, can help build a child's feeling of self-confidence. Low-income or in-crisis school-aged children who live in the Fairfield County area will be able to come to our "store" to shop for free gently-used or new clothing, which we acquire through donations and purchases, in which they feel comfortable and confident. In order to shop at CTKF, a family may either use their official notification letter regarding their child's participation in their public school's free lunch program or a family can obtain a letter of referral from an approved community advocate. Each eligible child will be allowed to "shop" for a week's worth of clothing, subject to the store's clothing availability.
