We are looking for individuals who:
- Want to help children explore their curiosity through books.
- Are willing to be part of a volunteer team to read with children and engage them in story, conversation, and activities.
- Are comfortable giving redirections for energetic children.
- Takes initiative when gaps in activities occur during the session.
Requirements:
- Available for the full read aloud volunteer shift, 5:30-7:30PM on Mondays.
- Serve as a read aloud volunteer minimum of 1 time per month.
- Complete satisfactory criminal background check.
- Sign-off on orientation session attendance or orientation procedures review.
- Must be age 14 or older

Description
Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH) is a private, nonprofit housing organization founded in 1989 dedicated to providing affordable rental homes in Arlington. We also provide educational, employment, financial and recreational programs for the adults and children living in APAH properties, as well as emergency rental assistance.
