"Music can lift us out of depression or move us to tears ~ it is a remedy, a tonic, orange juice for the ear. But for many of my neurological patients, music is even more ~ it can provide access, even when no medication can, to movement, to speech, to life. For them music is not a luxury, but a necessity.
~Oliver Sacks
As a trained Direct Patient Care Volunteer you have an opportunity to join our Music Companion Volunteer program.
Music Companions will complete the Volunteer Training program.
You will receive our Music Companion Orientation which includes education about Music therapy and its benefits to our hospice patients.
Our Music Companion Volunteers are a true partnership in care which we are confident will bring many hours of joy to patients, family members, staff, and community members served through Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care. We look forward to working with each volunteer who chooses to share this special gift of hospice volunteer service.
