Mint Artists is seeking an energetic, creative and thoughtful individual or two to lead and grow our advisory board, a group of about ten people. We want someone who loves people - and understands how to engage and lead busy professional volunteers - and someone who loves what Mint is becoming.
The right person could reinvent this group or reinvigorate it, giving it a clear purpose and some fun and fulfilling assignments through the year. Perhaps it will turn into our Gen X -Y Leaders Group or something else. Your role is to create a group of ambassadors for Mint, who help the organization grow in small and big ways - and feel joyful about their service.
Great opportunity to work with a diverse group and strengthen a small entrepreneurial nonprofit that needs talented people and turns teens into talented artists and generous citizens.
We'd appreciate a minimum one year commitment on this - and think the results could be another win-win-win with Mint.

Mission Statement
Mint Artists Guild helps to transform aspiring Detroit youth artists through education, exceptional engagement and experience, resulting in earning opportunities, skill-building, exposure, and mentoring. Mint launches creative careers and lasting connections. Mint also infuses the community with art and creative experiences, enhancing a collaborative, healthy and generous culture.
Description
Mint works with artists ages 13 to 23 on entrepreneurial, career and life skills, and gives them opportunities to sell their creative work. A summer jobs program, business workshops and online educational and informational resources are offered to young visual artists. In 2020, we launched the Metro Detroit Youth Arts Competition, a creative activity kit giveaway (of 5,500 kits) and in 2021, we launched leadership development training. This year, we are working on an alumni engagement program, adding creative jobs to our website and so much more. We need your help and support to continue our growth!
