Do you love hair and makeup products? Do you dream in Kylie lip kit colors? Do you have experience in hair styling and makeup and want to add to your portfolio? Do you just love the idea of filling Swag Bags and handing out goodies to teens to complement and enhance their The Princess Project Los Angeles experience? If so, The Princess Project Los Angeles needs you.
The Swag Bag, Hair and Makeup Committee serves The Princess Project teens in two ways. The first is the committee identifies the latest trends in hair, skincare and makeup products and identifies vendors and retailers for the Executive Board to contact to ensure we have enough fantastic products to provide our teens an incredible selection of skin care, hair care, makeup and fun products regardless of gender or skin color for our giveaways and special programs. Then the committee, as part of their set up, designs the layout of the Swag Bag area, to maximize the teens experience and help them find the right product they want, places it in the Swag Bag with any freebies and fun we might have and thanks the teen for being a part of TPPLA. At our giveaways, you are often one of the last people the teen interacts with prior to check out; exemplifying our safe haven, inclusive environment and having a great attitude is a MUST.
The second way the Swag Bag, Hair and Makeup Committee serves TPPLA teens is through our special programs providing hair styling and makeup for special events. Proven ability to work with all types of hair well and use of proper technique in styling and makeup is critical to this role. Finally, the Swag Bag, Hair and Makeup Committee is responsible for keeping an accurate and up-to-date inventory of our giveaway products as well as setup and man tables for teens to pick out various products and receive their Swag Bags at our various giveaways and special programs. You do NOT need to be a hair and makeup expert to be on this committee but a love of hair products, makeup and goodies is essential!

Description
The Princess Project is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit that began in San Francisco in 2002 and expanded into the greater Bay Area, San Diego and now is in Los Angeles.
The Princess Project Los Angeles promotes self-confidence and individual beauty by providing formal wear and accessories to high school teens who cannot otherwise afford them. Our effort is made possible through invaluable volunteer, donor, and community support via donations and financial gifts to further our goals here in the greater Los Angeles area.
By creating a positive, safe environment for teens and their families to come to and find the formal wear desired in an environment that embraces and celebrates all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientation, disabilities and bodies of all shapes and sizes, our work goes far beyond formal wear to instill a sense of pride and confidence in the thousands of teens that we reach each prom season and to help support special moments in their lives. Our goal is to reach teens at a pivotal moment in their lives and give them an experience that they will forever cherish, as we celebrate with them their passage into adulthood.
