Are you inspiring the next generation of women leaders? What are you waiting for?! Share your expertise with Girl Scouts as an Education Specialist at a Girl Scout event. Girl Scout events are full of hands-on learning for girls of all ages. No matter what you do - your help is needed to inspire, excite, and lead girls on their journey.
Education Specialists like you excel at sharing information in an impactful and entertaining way. We'll provide all the curriculum and materials, train you on the activities, and put you in the spotlight to make the experience your own.
And while you're at a Girl Scout event, our Program Experts will train you on the skills you need to level up - event planning, program development, and youth leadership.
Girl Scout events are held in our four major service areas - Madison, La Crosse, Janesville and Platteville. Events take place on Saturdays (and some Sundays) throughout the "school year." Most events are between 2-6 hours in length. Students, corporate volunteers and CSR groups are welcome. For information about specific events, check out our Activities Calendar: http://www.gsbadgerland.org/en/activities/activities-calendar.html
We can't wait to meet you!

Mission Statement
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
Description
Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
