Are you a Go-getter, an Innovator, a Risk-Taker or a Leader? Girl Scouts are taking the lead, all over Wisconsin, in everything they do. If you've ever stopped to buy a box of Girl Scout cookies on a gloomy February day, you've supported a girl's next steps toward leadership. But did you know, you can do more?
Inspire the next female candidate for President or the first woman to walk on Mars by lending your expertise to a Girl Scout program event. Entrepreneurs, scientists, educators and artists - your help is always needed. In just a few hours, you'll impact her life exponentially!
In 2016, thousands of volunteer hours supported thousands of Girl Scouts at events, where they learned to be technologists, business owners, community advocates and outdoor survivalists.
And at a Girl Scout event - you'll learn too! Build your own capacity by taking on a new role as a public speaker, education specialist, or logistics expert. We'll teach you how and watch you take the lead!
Learn more by signing up to help out. We can't wait to see you at a Girl Scout event!

Mission Statement
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
Description
Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
