JDRF of Central New York needs some additional volunteer help at our annual One Walk event at Long Branch Park!
(8AM-11AM) Set Up Volunteers: placing signage on walk route, setting up activities for kids, displaying materials
(10AM-2PM) Food Tent Volunteers: keeping food lines organized and distributing food (hot dogs, chips, apples and water) to participants
(10AM-3PM) Kids Area Volunteers: keeping a close eye on the kids enjoying the inflatable bounce house and slide and helping to organize the kickball game
(3PM-5PM) Break Down Volunteers: picking up all signage, helping to pick up clutter around park, packing all event materials after the event has ended

The Mission of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. To achieve our mission, all relevant and promising research must be considered for funding. The Foundation's research portfolio has three primary focus areas: restoration of normal blood sugar levels, avoidance and improved treatment to prevent complications, and prevention of diabetes and its recurrence.
