In order to secure our inaugural enrollment and ensure that our students come from the Sharpstown and Gulfton communities, we will be doing canvassing in the neighborhoods 4 times per month. These canvassing sessions will take place on Thursday evenings (2-5pm), Saturdays (10am-1pm), and Sundays (10am-1pm). Volunteers will receive talking points in advance of the event and participate in a brief orientation at the start of the canvassing event. Volunteers will be given a school shirt (to wear and keep) and will be paired with other more experienced volunteers. In groups of 2-3, volunteers will canvass the neighborhood giving out information about the school, talking to families, and helping families complete the online application when appropriate.
