Come volunteer at Iowa's only Hope Lodge! Volunteers help with daily Hope Lodge operations such as making meals, providing entertainment, planning activities, and maintaining the facility. We are actively seeking front desk volunteers to help out with administrative tasks, answering phones, providing tours and helping guests with their various needs!

Mission Statement
The mission and purpose of the Russell and Ann Gerdin American Cancer Society Hope Lodge is to provide a home-like residence, without charge, to cancer patients and their caregivers. Hope Lodge participates in the cancer treatment process by providing an emotionally supportive environment while reducing the financial burden of necessary multiple-night stays near a treatment facility.
Description
Each Hope Lodge offers cancer patients and their caregivers a free place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment may be in another city. Not having to worry about where to stay or how to pay for lodging allows guests to focus on getting better. Hope Lodge provides a nurturing, home-like environment where guests can retreat to private rooms or connect with others. Every Hope Lodge also offers a variety of resources and information about cancer and how best to fight the disease.
