The Melanoma Education Foundation is a non-profit public charity that provides free online melanoma lessons that are currently taught in over 1700 high schools and middle schools throughout the U.S. The online lessons educate students about early self-detection of melanoma, a skin cancer that is often fatal unless found at an early stage. The lessons have saved lives of students, teachers, and family members.
A few examples may be seen at < http://www.skincheck.org/Page9.htm >.
In this new project high school students educate other students in their schools about self-detection and risk-reduction of melanoma by presenting a 16-minute to them. We provide everything needed to present the lesson with minimum preparation.
Participating students will receive community service verification letters for their project hours (including preparation and follow-up time) and, when the project is completed, volunteers will also receive college recommendation letters if requested.
If interested, respond to this post and include the name and location of your high school. We will send
detailed information and instructions on how to proceed.
