Front Desk Receptionist

ORGANIZATION: Skyline Urban Ministry

  • 2 people are interested

The front desk at Skyline is the first place people go to inquire about all of our various programs. The receptionist not only answers the phone and greets people as they enter, but answers important questions about the services Skyline provides and creates a welcoming environment for the patrons who arrive for help. Volunteers in this position will learn about all of Skyline's programs and policies so that they can effectively help those seeking answers, as well as the jobs of other staff members and their extensions so that they can speak to managers of various programs. Training will be provided so that the volunteer is comfortable with the phone system and providing information.

This is a great job for someone who prefers to sit while they volunteer, is a people person, and doesn't mind performing simple phone-related tasks such as transferring calls. It is a great way to get to help the people that we serve and make them feel at home.

A receptionist will be needed any time within these hours. The shifts are TBD depending on volunteers' availability/preference. However, because training is involved, it is considered a long-term commitment.

Mission Statement

Skyline’s mission is to impact lives, empower those in need and to address the roots of poverty in Oklahoma.
