Memory Bear (Sewing) Volunteers Needed

Ascend Hospice is in need of sewing volunteers! After the loss of a loved one, Ascend Hospice offers a special keepsake to families- "Memory Bears" made out their loved ones clothing. Families donate 1-2 items of clothing such as a flannel shirt or favorite blouse, and the Memory Bear volunteer uses the clothing to produce 1-2 Memory Bears. We ask that the Memory Bears be made within 4-6 weeks of receiving the clothing. We will provide the Memory Bear pattern and the fill for bears. Families are incredibly moved, grateful and very appreciative upon receiving their Memory Bear(s) and you can be the volunteer who makes this happen!
