Moveable Feast

  • 2 people are interested

Virtual Ambassadors are fundraisers for Moveable Feast who also love and support our Dining Out for Life restaurant partners.
Using tools and resources that we provide, each Virtual Ambassador will work to help us reach our fundraising goal of $100,000!
We highly encourage Ambassadors to choose a specific restaurant partner to promote to their network of friends and family.

Read the Ambassador Toolkit for a more comprehensive view of this role and event!

Visit www.mfeast.org/diningoutforlife to see our partnering restaurants!

**Moveable Feast has been significantly impacted by COVID-19. We have continued to serve all 650 clients over 8000 meals a week, without the support of in house volunteers since March. Most of our clients are over the age of 55 and live in isolation without regular food access. Moveable Feast's meals are helping to keep clients out of hospitals and keeping them healthy during this pandemic.**

Mission Statement

Moveable Feast provides nutritious foods and other services in order to preserve the quality of life for people with HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening conditions.

Description

The core of our program is the free food service offered to people with HIV/AIDS, breast cancer, and other life-threatening conditions. This includes weekly meal delivery of up to 18 meals/week for clients struggling with severe illness and meal delivery to the homeless in Baltimore through partnerships with emergency shelters and drop-in centers.

Our registered dietitians provide free nutritional counseling to our clients to improve their eating habits and health long term. We also provide door-to-door transportation to medical appointments for Baltimore City clients who are too ill to drive or take public transportation.
