tnAchieves mentors work with a group of 3 - 10 TN Promise scholars as they transition from high school to college. Mentors remind students of important deadlines, serve as a trusted college resource and encourage students to reach their full potential. The time commitment is small, only about one hour per month, but the impact can be significant for students, most of whom are the first in their family to go to college.

The mission of tnAchieves is to increase higher education opportunities for Tennessee high school students by providing last-dollar scholarships with mentor guidance.
Description
tnAchieves is a partnering organization for Governor Haslam's TN Promise. TN Promise allows every high school senior in the state the opportunity to attend a community or technical college for two and a half years tuition free with the support of a volunteer mentor.
