Tabitha's Closet provides clothing for students who attend schools in the Independence School District so that they can come to school ready to learn.
Our most urgent need is volunteers to help with customer service. This is a wonderful opportunity to interact with families and serve the community.
We currently need volunteers to help sign families in when they arrive at the clothing closet.
We also need volunteers to help with our check out area - assisting families with choosing underwear and socks, checking off items that families receive, and bagging them.
Other duties include straightening shelves and light tidying up when time allows.
Volunteers are needed Tuesdays from 10 am-2 pm. While we prefer a 4-hour shift, volunteers can work shorter shifts if needed.
Volunteers who work for 4 hours at at time will be served a free lunch.
