Donated Boat Needed.

ORGANIZATION: The Foundation

If you have a seaworthy boat (freshwater or saltwater - 20 feet or longer) and would be willing to take a tax write off for donating it to our organization, we would be eager to hear from you.

In the Spring, through our new program called "The Boating Experience", our organization will be offering uniquely tailored boat rides to disabled and disadvantaged individuals in and around our community (Springfield, Ma and surrounding areas including Boston, Ma).

To do this, we need at least one seaworthy donated boat (with proper trailer). It is okay if the donated boat requires some low cost repairs and leaning.

Any type of boat over 20 feet long will be considered (30 - 40ft would be preferred). We can provide owner with two individual receipts (one for the boat and the trailer), for tax purposes.

Boat owner must provide us with the boat's title and simple letter explaining the donation.
We will register the boat and trailer for Massachusetts, obtain plates, and provide transportation to our location. Owner must give us time to do these things.

We can only accept large boats requiring special "Wide Load" transport or permits, if owner is willing to pay for them. We will provide an additional tax receipt to cover those costs.

So, if you or someone you know has a boat they would like to donate, please let us know.

Thank you so much.
