Compensation : Unpaid/Apprentice

Location : East Cambridge. Convenient access to public transportation

Job Type : Volunteer; non-profit. 4-month commitment

Seeking an Emerging Assistant Editor volunteer to work closely with the Director and the Senior Editor in all aspects of post-production on a highly produced international public television documentary.

Intensive critique on artistic and technical approaches to documentary cutting will be given. We require excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude. Applicant should possess the ability to work independently, remain flexible and take initiative in a resource-limited environment.

For our part, we are dedicated to your hands on training and participation from day one.

Experience:

Applicants must have formal training/experience on Adobe Premiere. Knowledge of Adobe After Effects or compositing programs and long-format work flow a plus.

Description

Interns participate in all aspects of film and media production, including: research writing coordination of crews participation in shoots participation in film editing scriptwriting production of print materials any task that may arise

Salary: None Qualifications:

Interns must have strong communication skills, a desire to learn, and a pro-active attitude. The following skills and experience are preferred, but not required: superior writings skills technical ability computer skills (mac platform) experience with camera, lighting, or other gear.
