The Social Communications Lead utilizes social media to ignite the passion for Relay For Life online within their community.
Individuals in this role are an online voice and connector to the community's Relay For Life event. They are comfortable in using a variety of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc) and ensure that important information is posted in a timely manner. You will work with the Marketing Lead and other Leads on the Event Leadership Team to get information that needs to be posted. Posts will be daily. You will post things like American Cancer Society mission, fundraising flyers and information, participant recognition, etc.
You will also be responsible for maintaining the Relay For Life event website and updating it with critical information necessary to have a successful Relay event including: agendas, meetings notes, pre-fundraiser details, etc.
Most of the work for this position is done at home on your own time. It is very flexible. If you know how to schedule posts in advance it is even easier.
This is a long term volunteer opportunity. We work year round to plan the event and recruit and engage participants. The event is on April 28th at the M Resort Spa Casino.
