Part One: focus group to discuss what are the areas that Latino population has contributed to USA.
Part Two: complete the mural using this information.
Part two: Meet and discuss contributions. Make a list of the ways Latinos have made contributions. This could be a one hour session. We are located at 1957 S. Spaulding, 2 blocks west of the Kedzie stop on pink line. Email for date and time.
Part Two:
Can you hold a paint brush & climb a ladder? Can you follow directions and paint between the lines? We can show you what to do and you can do it! No experience is needed. If you have experience painting all the better! Please RSVP.
We have the mural started, now we are looking for help in completing the mural. The theme is to express that Latino immigrants have been a positive influence on USA society. Latinos have contributed in many positive ways to USA.
We need people who can follow directions, have good manual dexterity, can paint "between the lines" well.
Could this be you?
Mostly this work will be accomplished on Saturdays. We may be able to accommodate painters who want to work on Monday and Wednesday afternoons too. between 1-4
Until a few volunteers sign up for the same time, painters will work on their own with instructions. The mural is on a busy street (Cermak at Spaulding).
