Sighted Guides/Escorts Needed for Convention for the Blind!

This is the annual convention of the Washington Council of the blind. Over 150 people who are blind and visually impaired will be attending, some with guide dogs. We need people to be at the hotel assisting with escorting through the lobby, through the conference center, to meetings, through exhibits, etc.
These will be for 2 to 3 hour shifts.
Individuals and organizations/groups are all encouraged to sign up.
Schedule
We need a minimum of four volunteers at all times. Thursday's arrival, Sunday morning's departure, and throughout Friday, are our busiest times and we could use six to eight people at any of those times listed.

1:00 pm - 5:00 pm Assisting guests upon arrival to the front desk, their sleeping room, convention registration table, restaurant, and relieving area for those with guide dogs.
Friday, October 27, 2017
7:00 am - 5:00 pm Assisting guests through the lobby to the conference area, to find seats at meals and in general session, assist through the exhibit hall or silent auction, to help conventioneers locate the restroom, and to locate the relieving areas for those with guide dogs.

7:00 am - 7:00 pm Assisting guests through the lobby to the conference area, to find seats at meals and in general session, to assist conventioneers through the silent auction, to help conventioneers locate the restroom, and to locate the relieving areas for those with guide dogs.
Sunday, October 29, 2017
9:00 am - 11:00 am To assist conventioneers with the checking out process through the lobby with navigating luggage, to the front desk, restaurant, and/or to assist conventioneers onto the chartered bus.

The purpose of this organization Shelby to promote opportunity, equality, and independence for people who are legally blind in the state of Washington and throughout the nation.
Description
We are a membership organization with over 450 members and 18 chapters, 16 geographically located and two special interest for sports for the blind and guy dog users. We have no paid staff and rely on our members and others to volunteer to do our work.
