Help decorate, set up, and run our Annual Holiday Festival!
The Holiday Festival is a benefit for our Oakland Garden Street Campus, which has a family shelter, a subsidized child development center for low-income individuals, and various social services such as PG&E assistance and food assistance.
This is a great opportunity that allows volunteers to gain first-hand insight into non-profit administration and fundraising. Two shifts available: one from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and one from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers will help set up and take down registration, decorations, and items in our silent auction.

Description
The Salvation Army restores hope and transforms lives. Since 1865 we've been committed to defeating hunger, breaking addictions and rebuilding lives. Our reach is wide and deep - providing over 13,000 nights of lodging, 85,000 meals, and food for 5,700 families in Alameda County.
We provide rehabilitation and promote self-sufficiency, are a steadfast presence to the lonely and to those who have lost hope, we are the first on the scene of a disaster - and the last to leave.
