The Harrisburg West Shore AARP Tax-Aide program is looking to expand its team of volunteers for the upcoming tax season. We serve clients at five locations in eastern Cumberland County, PA, including Camp Hill, Enola and Mechanicsburg. AARP Tax-Aide offers free tax preparation and filing help to anyone with low or middle income. AARP Tax-Aide volunteers make a difference in their communities by assisting many older and lower-income taxpayers who might otherwise miss out on the credits and deductions they’ve earned.
AARP Tax-Aide volunteers receive training and support in a welcoming environment. There is need for volunteer tax preparers and greeter/administrators. Every level of experience is welcome. Training WILL be provided. You DO NOT need to be a tax expert in order to volunteer. Volunteer tax preparers complete tax preparation training and IRS certification.
We will begin training for the tax season during the second week of January 2025. Our tax preparation season will begin in early February and continue through mid-April.

We are the Harrisburg West Shore affiliate of the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program. Our mission is to prepare taxes for low and moderate income taxpayers, with special attention to those over age 50. We have over 35,000 volunteers who help over 2.6 million taxpayers file their federal and state taxes at more than 5,000 AARP Tax-Aide sites nationwide.

Tax-Aide volunteers receive training and support in a welcoming environment. Every level of tax experience is welcome. Training WILL be provided. You DO NOT need to be a tax expert in order to volunteer. Volunteer tax preparers receive IRS certification by passing exams.
